Our sixth Assembly meeting of the Fraternal year 2021-2022 was held on January 17th at the Cathedral of St. Peter.
The Assembly Color Corps provided an Honor Guard for the 35th Annual MS Pro-Life Candlelight Prayer Vigil at the State Capital. Four CC members (District Master Craig Harrell, District Marshal Steve Miller, Color Corps Commander Allen Scott, and Sir Knight Chris Halliwell) dressed out for the event. I also counted four assembly members present for the Prayer Vigil (Former District Master Bill O’Connor, Past State Deputy Jim McCraw, Bill Addie, and Michael Saway) but there may have been more. Thanks to all who participated.
On February 12th Council 898 will sponsor their annual March for Life. The march starts in the St. Aloysius HS parking lot at 1900 Grove St., Vicksburg at 11:30 and heads East on Grove St. then turns North on Mission 66 to the Monument for Life at the City Cemetery where a Rosary for the Protection of the Unborn will be offered. I am requesting all Color Corps members to dress out. If you are marching as Color Corps or assisted members supporting the CC please arrive by 11:00 for assignments. Other assembly members and family who would like to march please be there by 11:15am. Transportation will be provided for the return trip to St. Al.
